Mei-Wan has been working with children, young adults, and seniors around the Bay Area for over 30 years.  She began teaching after earning a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Credentials in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood.  After taking a break to raise her 4 children, she became involved with Rainbow Theatre in Milpitas when 3 of her kids were cast.  In 1998, she directed her first production. Since then she's directed over 35 productions.

Center Stage Performing Arts was created to continue providing performing arts to the community.  Our objective is to work with youth and young adults in a creative structured setting that encourages growth, learning, imagination, teamwork, and self-esteem while providing for the needs of the participants by creating and implementing programs to keep participants involved and enthusiastic.  CSPA, formerly known as Milpitas Rainbow Theatre, is presented by Milpitas Recreation Services.  For many years the City of Milpitas provided this program for the benefit of the citizens of Milpitas and its neighboring communities.  In 2012, city officials cut funding for the program from the budget but with the support of dedicated parents and performers, the Milpitas Children's Theatre Alliance was founded.  Together, the MCTA and CSPA worked together to showcase the numerous talents of all the performers and staff involved in the theatre.
